Lyle Mays <Fictionary>
Lyle Mays (Geffen, 1993) Lyle Mays, piano Marc Johnson, bass Jack DeJohnette, drums 2020년 2월 10일 라일 메이즈가 66세의 나이로 세상을 떠났다는 소식은 2005년 앨범을 끝으로 앨범 활동을 마무리하고 2010년 유럽의 재즈 페스티벌에서 공연을 끝으로 개점휴업에 들어간 팻 메시니 그룹의 활동이 정말로 마무리되었다는 것을 의미하는 것이었다. 그러다보니 팻 메시니 외에 다른 멤버들에 대한 소식도 거의 찾아보질 않게 되었고 세상을 떠난 라일 메이즈에 대한 것은 더더욱 그리될 수밖에 없었다. 얼마 전 팻 메시니의 신보를 감상하던 도중 라일 메이즈가 생각이 났고 그의 솔로 앨범들 가운데.......
