---------------------------------------------------------- (2010.6.2 일기) i. 음악은, 미술은- 아니 모든 예술은- 참 아름답고 굉장한 힘을 지니고 있다. 가감없는 가사는 마음을 어루만지고, 가사가 없으면 없는대로, 그 오롯한 멜로디로 메세지를 전달한다. 굳이 언어를 알아듣지 못해도 마음으로 나누고 느낀다. 영화 미션에서도 원주민들을 처음 이끈건 가브리엘 신부님의 아름다운 오보에 소리. (실제로 남미 원주민들은 음악을 통해 종교를 받아들였다고 한다.) 영어를 잘 못하시는 엄마가 미국 사람들에게 자신있게 미술을 가르치실 수 있는건 내게 감동이다. 예술, 그 자체로 소통을 하는 예술의 힘! 정말 굉장하다고 생각한다. ii
